Discovering the Padule of Fucecchio area, its environmental richness and its traditional activities. For some years now, the local association Il Padule has organized hiking on Saturdays and Sundays, usually from morning to evening, which allows a full emersion into nature, both through walking routes as well as the historic fishing boats.

There are two main types offered. By boat (about 2 hours, with guides) is a fascinating journey to the rediscovery of the ancient customs and activities of Padulane that, over the years, have allowed the livelihood of all those communities located in neighboring countries and near Marsh. Along the way, passing through the clearings (those parts of marshes, ponds and lakes that are not cluttered with reeds or aquatic plants), characteristic hunting huts can be observed and traditional forms of fishing are explained.

There are 2 types of walking routes through the fucecchiese part of the Padule. In summer, always accompanied by competent guides, there are itineraries that allow you to observe the birds’ life, characteristic of this marsh ecosystem: an opportunity for the young and old, as well as simple curious or birdwatching enthusiasts. For those who like to walk, there are also planned guided tours (about 2 hours) along the Massigian shores of the Padule that are home to numerous animal and plant species and that were the scene of some tragic events during the Second World War.
